Although completely redesigned last year, the Mazda MX-5 Miata still sees a number of big changes for 2007. A retractable hardtop model joins the line, trim levels are shuffled and renamed and power output numbers change slightly due to the implementation of new SAE power-rating standards.
- Huge fun factor, precise steering and handling, low base price, economical to operate.
- Still snug for large adults, stability control only available on top trim level.

By 2007 D-Blue Tan Leat - November 26 - 7:00 pmEpitome of FUN,. from 1000 - 6500 rpm this 2.0 liter engine sounds suspiciously like the 3.6L boxer power plant from Porsche. The interior is much more exotic then any previous MX-5 with the dark tan/reddish leather. Just a all round fun car but its hard to be your only car. Not great in winter. Great on gas, gets a LOT of looks. You get a $60,000 look for less than $30k. May cause younger age appearance.

I am 76 years old and when convertibles such as Mercedes or BMW drive up beside me they want to know what brand my convertible is. They say "It is very sharp looking" I have had this happen more times than you can imagine. The car has heated seats, an amazing radio, can get-up fast and what I love about it is the fact that the convertible top DOES NOT GO IN THE TRUNK and it can be put up and down quite easily. I am very attached to my convertible but due to health issues I must say goodbye.

By LoveMeeata - August 26 - 2:00 amI absolutely love to drive my Miata! It is so quick on the highway and just flat-out a BLAST! The convertible top is easy to manage from INSIDE the car...love that! My family whines that its too small and "get a real car" but ya know...they are just jea-LOUS! My 63" 250 lb boyfriend complains that he doesnt fit in it, but hes always grabbing the keys to get a chance to drive it. lol

Look What Ive Been Missing....... - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By Senior Citizen - July 7 - 10:03 pm....all these years! Call it the "old" mans last hoorah - call it anything but call it fun! I got the marble white "Sport" convertible with extras. Takes a second or two for an elderly man to climb in with the top up but once in, he doesnt want to get out. The madam loves it too and calls it "Peanut." Never have I seen such a responsive engine for its size and turning is a breeze - almost like a zero turn mower. Like others, Id like a little storage where the console cup holders are and the two in the door either relocated. Guys, its a shame I cant respond properly (age) to the viewing public who "lak dat car." I look to get the wife out of her big Buick into a red one real soon.

By Dannie - June 29 - 4:13 pmOutstanding all around vehicle. A sheer preasure to drive. Great handling, plenty of power, good build quality, good looks inside and out. Beats the competition, hands down! I drove the others and came back and bought the MX-5 Miata! 30 mpg! The top is a work of art! Greatly enhances look of the car. Wheels may be too large in diameter - may distract from overall appearance due to size. At first sight, eyes are drawn to wheels instead of car! At second glance everything seems to mesh and look good - have mixed emotions - not sure if a 16 inch wheel might have been better aesthetically.

By Dannie - April 28 - 8:03 amOutstanding performance, ride, and looks. Smooth clutch and transmission! Plenty of power. Handling is outstanding. I drove the others (competition); none can match it for value, fun, or handling. Build quality far superior to low-end competition and as good or better than the high-end. The interior is beautiful and well made. I looked at and drove many of the competition and always came back to the MX-5 Miata. My first tank of gas produced 29.754 MPG. My second tank produced 30.1 MPG! I am working on the third. Everything works as advertised. The top is a work-of-art! It greatly enhances the overall look of the car. I have no problem with the cup holders - THEY HOLD CUPS!

By george mitchell - March 8 - 1:58 amI am a retired auto mechanic so I inspected the used Miata before I bought it .The woman I bought it from is 72 years old and she was having problems getting in and out of the car .It was time to let it go .It had only 38,000 miles on it and was never driven in the winter time . It was spotless inside and out .I put a set of new Perelli tires on it since I noticed a bubble on one of the tires . It runs great and it is a joy to drive . If you are planning to buy one used please know your limitations and get it inspected by a Mazda mechanic .Find a shop that specializes in Masda cars ,pay them to inspect it thoroghly .If you buy the car, this shop can service it for you .Under no circumstances buy the car without having it inspected by a certified mechanic, not your husband, or boyfriend .Money spent on the inspection will be the best money you will ever spend ! Make sure they check the tires for tread wear and bubbles on the inner and outer side walls .I hope the post helps someone with their purchase . George Mitchell

These reviews helped me in deciding to get the true-red Miata MX-5 Grand Touring with splash guards and chrome fuel door over the competition. Weve had our car about 10 days now and I can truly say this is the most fun car I have ever owned. The engineers at Mazda definitely got it right. Its obvious theyve been doing this for 18 years. The cars lines are very sexy and pleasing to the eye and the performance will really get your heart beating. Now the only problem I face is arguing with my wife over who gets to drive the car today.

Great excuse. Mid life crisis? This is better than psychotherapy and botox combined! When I say my prayers at night I thank god for my little blue dream in the driveway - and I cant wait to wake up and drive! Thank you Mazda.
